Bright f1.8-2.8 stabilised optical zoom, Fast and accurate AF, Fast sustained 9.3fps continuous shooting, Built-in Wifi and GPS via a smartphone, 1080p60 HD video mode, Focus peaking, Innovative Star shooting modes.
Lacklustre optical viewfinder, No touch-screen. Not articulated either, Exposure compensation dial easily nudged, No panorama mode, No smartphone remote control over Wifi.
The G16 is an easy camera to underestimate, on the face of it, it doesn't seem like it has a lot to offer one year on from its predecessor and at first glance you'd probably guess that existing G15 owners would hold off for whatever the G17 might have...
Nikon's 28mm F1.4E ED appears to roundly complete the company's updated lineup of fast, professional prime lenses. We've already seen some initial images from a Nikon ambassador, but we've worked through a gallery of our own, with a lens of our own over t...

The Canon PowerShot G16 produces very good photos in bright light, and the fast lens, optical viewfinder, and relatively streamlined design make it nice to use. Plus, it finally delivers solid continuous shooting
A mediocre Wi-Fi implementation, no articulated LCD, and lack of manual controls while shooting video are among the ways in which the G16 lags behind the competition. And other cameras deliver better photos in low light

Sammanfattning: As with most recent offerings it has Wi-Fi to transfer images and of course to let you know where you took that great sunset. The right side has neck strap anchor point and a door behind which are connections for AV and HDMI so you can show your videos dir...
Highend premium shooter resembles a compacted DSLR, with almost as many features
Only really what the G16 lacks, namely a tilting rear panel LCD. The price will be on the high side for anyone who doesn't already own a DSLR that such an outlay could alternatively buy
Aside from rock solid build quality and DSLR-like feature set, the actual pictures the G16 produces are also worth treasuring, with colours beautifully realistic and detail pin sharp. Up to 480 shots can be eked out of a full charge of its lithium ion bat...
Image quality is great, raw shooting option, physical control layout perfect, bright maximum aperture - even at full zoom, 1080p movies at 60fps
Body could do with a refresh, fixed screen position, very small viewfinder, Wi-Fi features don't extend to wireless shooting
The G16 may be starting to look a little dated, particularly when you compare it to something like Sony's sleek RX100, but that doesn't stop the Canon remaining a top-notch snapper all round. When something's right, it's just right - and the G16 lar...
The feature set on the Canon PowerShot G16 is limited in comparison to the technology offered by other manufacturers. For example, the Wi-Fi facility still doesnt feature wireless shooting and HDR offers no manual control. Also, many users will be disapp...
