With a 2.53GHz processor, the Sony VAIO VGN-FW11ZU should be a nippy machine, and the ATI graphics card allows the use of some modern games. Blu-ray playback was short of expectation though, especially given Sony's weight behind the format....
The Vaio performs well across the board. Its a well balanced machine, suitable for many uses, affordable and good looking. We do have some complaints, but nothing big.So should you get one? Well it depends. In case youre looking at $1000 15.4-inch ma...
Sammanfattning: The Sony VAIO FW139E/H is a 16.4\" semi-desktop replacement notebook configured with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8400, which runs at 2.26GHz with a Front Side Bus speed of 1066MHz, 3GB of DDR2-800 RAM, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 dedicated graphics car...
If you're looking for a fast notebook with the latest in beautiful, functional screens, this Windows Vista Ultimate-equipped unit delivers the goods. And Sony will have 12 fixed configurations from which to choose in retail outlets and online. And whi...
Great design, Solid build quality, ExtraWidecreen (neat for movies and more perceived screen real estate), Comfortable keyboard once you get used to it
Battery life with smaller battery is poor, LCD backlight unevenness, Speakers sound rather anemic
The VAIO FW is a great step forward for Sony, and a worthy competitor to the Dell Studio 15 or even the Toshiba A305. The design is great, but more importantly the build quality is excellent. It feels solid, with a reasonably firm screen cover and keyb...
Intel Centrino 2 platform. Breathtaking 16.4-inch widescreen. Relatively light. 4GB of DDR3 memory. Very nice keyboard.
Blu-ray burner is overkill. Standard battery is way too small. Meager battery life. Riddled with bloatware.
Despite running Intels newest generation platform and sporting a movie theater-like screen, the Sony VAIO VGN-FW198UH comes up short on battery life and is way overpriced....

If this 16-inch laptop is any indication, the Centrino 2 platform offers excellent battery life; 16:9 screen perfect for HD movies; excellent keyboard; attractive, simple design.
No immediate performance gains seen here from Centrino 2; screen not really true 1080p, despite the sticker on the system that says so; clicky media buttons seem old-fashioned; still some advertising clutter, but less than previous Vaio models.
Sonys smart design, long battery life, and a big 16-inch screen, make the Vaio FW140--the first Centrino 2 laptop weve seen--an excellent, but still portable, media hub. Specifications: Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo (2.26 GHz); RAM installed: 3 GB DDR2...
Unique, just-right screen size, Very good performance, Above-average battery life, Blu-ray player/burner, Good software bundle
Too much trialware, Speakers need more power
The Sony VAIO VGN-FW198U/H strikes a near-perfect balance of portability, multimedia power, and screen real estate. How? One of the big reasons is the display. This notebook is the first to boast a 16.4-inch widescreen (with 16:9 aspect ratio) making t...
Great 16.4-inch screen; Blu-ray burner; 802.11n-capable screen; HDMI out
Disappointing 3D performance; mediocre battery life; a bit bulky
Performance-wise, the Sony VAIO VGN-FW198U/H multimedia laptop is a mixed bag. But its worth a look for its display, Blu-ray burner, and a price thats good for its class. ...
